Android P may allow call blocking for numbers not in contact list, unidentified and Private.

The next version of Android, Android P may be coming in the Android market with a new feature which will be a further enhancement of basic call blocking feature used by Android users across the globe.

This time, the users can restrict who is allowed to call them unlike current call block options, where we need to manually block numbers after the call has been placed. The user will have choices to block numbers which are not in their contact list, unidentified numbers and numbers not disclosed by the caller.

In case of calls placed during an emergency, call blocking will be disabled, which is a key feature related to providing assistance to someone who needs your help. The user will get a notification from service provider whenever call blocking gets disabled due to emergency calls.

As of now, the market is full of speculations whether this feature will be coming with the latest Android P as it has not been integrated with AOSP. According to market experts, this new call blocking feature has fewer chances to be added in first Android P, but we can expect it to be available to users once it is merged with ASOP.
