How to Customize Chrome Browser to increase work productivity?

July 18, 2018, 11:07 p.m.

Web Browser is increasingly becoming the platform where we get maximum of our jobs done. Each day when we reach our office, the first thing we do is to either check our emails, access business apps or just keep an eye on what's new in the business.
Google Chrome Browser, one of the most commonly used web browser that comes with pre-installed bookmarks, apps and extensions, centrally managed policies, and provides an optimal web browsing experience.

Here are few ways to customize Google Chrome to improve user browsing experience as well as effectively increase productivity.

Use Chrome Sync to easily access same data across all devices

Chrome Sync can save your bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings securely to your Google Account and allow you to access them from Chrome on any device. All of the data is stored in their databases and data centers. When any of these devices connects to a service, it fetches your data, based on who's logged in.
You can selectively turn sync ON or OFF for things you want under Settings section. All you need to do is just sign in to Chrome with your Google Account

Safe Web Browsing to secure users from malware attacks

To protect users from navigating to malicious sites or downloading dangerous files, Safe Web Browsing will alert the users by displaying a warning and network error with back to safety option. This will save users from online dangers and avoid any risk of device getting infected.

Ad-Blocker

Nothing is more irritating than an ad popping up as soon as you open a web content. Google Chrome provides the option to block these ads. Although Google Chrome is not wiping out all the ads, it will block pop-up ads, large sticky ads, auto-play video ads with sound, and ads that appear on a site with a countdown blocking you before the content loads.
To enable ad-blocking, navigate to Chrome Setting, search and click Popup. Click Content settings. Under Popups it should say Blocked. If it says Allowed, click Popups and turn off the switch next to Allowed.

Set your own homepage

Your homepage is the one you go to when you click Home. Google Chrome lets you set your homepage as per your preference.
Click on the three dots on Chrome and go to Settings and then navigate to Search Appearance and turn on Show Home Button. Below "Show Home button," choose to use the New Tab page or a custom page. The Home button will appear to the left of your address bar.

Automatically install apps and extensions

You can automatically install (or force-install) specific Chrome apps and extensions for users in your organization. Users see these apps and extensions in their Chrome browser, or on a Chrome device, when they're signed in to their G Suite account.

Most Chrome apps and extensions are in the Chrome Web Store. You can also force-install third-party apps and extensions. Users can't remove items that are force-installed. The items also bypass any blocked apps and extensions.

The latest version of the app is free to download at our marketplace and can also be installed from Google Play Store using the given-below link.
