YouTube adds "Scheduled digest" and "Disable sounds & vibrations" features as part of Google's digital well-being

As part of the ongoing Google I/O 2018, Google announced Digital well-being initiative to help us better manage our personal lives and technology. With this initiative, Google is introducing new ways of keeping us informed about how we are spending our time on apps to even letting us know our usage pattern to better analyse and develop good digital practices.

With the recently added features, YouTube is one of the first few Android apps to support Google's Digital well-being initiative.

After YouTube's "Take a Break" update that reminds you about your video viewing time, YouTube's "Scheduled digest" feature now allows you to get all of the notifications once a day at a particular time.

The users can choose the notification time as per their preference.

Another added feature "Disable sounds & vibrations" disables the sound and vibration notification alerts in the YouTube app for Android for a specific time interval.

You can customize the silence time for the notifications which is by default set between 10:00 PM and 08:00 AM.

To access both the features, tap your user photo at the top right side of the YouTube app, go to Settings and choose Notifications. Under Notifications, you will find "Scheduled digest" and "Disable sounds & vibrations" options.
These features are currently available in the app version 13.17.55 of the YouTube app on Android.
