Google Play Music, a music streaming service launched by Google in 2011 that offers listening to your favourite tracks and create your own playlists and store over 50000 sound tracks from over 40 million songs is soon going to be unavailable to its users.
Reportedly, Google Play Music will be replaced by YouTube Remix later this year and users will be forced to switch to YouTube Remix before the end of 2018.
This means, YouTube Remix will now be the default music player of Google.
As per reports, YouTube Remix will have smarter playlist recommendations and time and location based song suggestions.
According to statement by a YouTube spokesperson, "We've previously announced the combination of the YouTube Music and Google Play product teams " music is very important to Google so it's critical we have one offering that meets the needs of consumers and artists. Nothing will change for users today and we'll provide plenty of notice before any changes are made."
YouTube Remix seems to compete with Spotify by providing its music fans millions of songs to stream as well as video clips from YouTube.
It is still not known exactly when the new service will be launched and how Google will shut down it's Play Music service.
The latest version of the app is free to download at our marketplace and can also be installed from Google Play Store using the given-below link.
